Artwork and Application
At Legendary Workwear Ltd, we use a number of methods to customise your workwear order by adding your own logo/customisation.
We can offer an embroidery service, which is basically your logo, stitched into your workwear garments. Embroidery is an excellent way to add your logo to your garments as it is long lasting and will give your business a professional image, helping your workforce to promote your brand. The embroidery process is carried out by a computer operated embroidery machine, which reads a digital version of your logo and stitches the coloured threads into the correct place. Embroidery is best for heavy garments polo shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats etc. For embroidered garments we do charge a one off set up fee of £20, this is for the work involved in creating a digital version of your image that our machines can understand.
Printing is another option that we offer. The advantage of printing over embroidery is its ability to capture all the details of more complex designs and recreate the colours more accurately. We can use different print methods to enable us to get the highest quality finish on your workwear/uniform. The two main methods that we use are:
DTF – which is your logo printed onto a clear film with a white base coat, this is then covered in an adhesive powder and baked until the adhesive has taken to the ink. The transfer is then cut out and heat pressed onto your garment, the heat activates the adhesive and releases the print from the carrier sheet leaving behind a colourful, durable print, which will be still good long after the garment! This method is good for complex, multiple colour logos.
VINYL TRANSFER – heat transfer vinyl is carefully cut out into the shape of your logo using a precise cutting machine, the vinyl is then turned over, and the unwanted parts of the leftover vinyl are carefully removed, leaving the logo on the clear carrier sheet. The logo is then sealed using a heat press to press the vinyl into the garment, leaving the adhesive deep in the fibre of the garment. Vinyl transfers are mainly used for simple 1 or 2 colour logos.
